Feed the People PDF Print E-mail

Since January 1993, Feed The People Ministries has gone out every Saturday in the rain, snow, heat and cold to the mission world of bridges, underpasses, back alleys, campsites, parks, hotels, and homeless shelters (these shelters do not provide hot meals), and anywhere else people are seeking shelter from the elements.  This is done by a group of dedicated people, giving of their time to prepare and serve, on-site, these hot meals.  All with the knowledge of God's saving grace in their lives.

The number of homeless men, women and children served meals varies slightly from week to week, and more drastically from summertime to wintertime, from approximately 175 people to 225 people.  Feed The People Ministries alternates between five meal plans, and they have been tailored to provide nourishment and sustenance for individuals who oftentimes eat only three meals in an entire week.  These meals have a high protein, high carbohydrate and high fat content in an attempt to make up the deficit from their irregular diets.

In addition to providing hot meals, Feed The People Ministries also provides hygiene items, blankets and bibles upon request.  These are all donated by either individuals or other ministries.  Most of all, there is always prayer.
