Back Snack PDF Print E-mail

Sheffield Family Life Center has a desire to do its part in reaching the community in as many ways possible.  Throughout our 60+ years in the North East area of Kansas City, we have been a pillar in reaching out to our community.  Currently we are part of the monthly community food drop enabling us to help supplement the meals of approximately 1,100 children between ages 0 – 17.  We see the need and want to do our part by partnering with you to distribute “Back Snack” to our community and neighborhood schools.

For more information, please contact Mrs. Yoli Morales.

Media Duplication PDF Print E-mail

MEDIA DUPLICATION
This part of our ministry is responsible for making "mass copies" of the DVD's and CD's of the Church Services (right as the service ends), which is then taken upstairs to the West Media Center for purchase by the congregation immediately.

We also provide DVD's to the Shut-in Ministry, so people who are unable to get to church for various reasons, can stay "connected" to Sheffield. They are still able to see (and or hear) what God is doing here.

Tabitha House PDF Print E-mail

Delphine Sydnor, Director

Tabitha House was opened on October 10, 1997 through the vision of a handful of people seeing the need for a women's facility in the Kansas City area for those suffering from substance abuse. Delphine Sydnor became the Resident Director at that time and is still serving in that capacity. Delphine's burden for addicted women is deeply rooted in her own deliverance. Tabitha House has grown in reputation throughout the Midwest recon over the past seven years, and incorporated under its own name as a 501 (c)(3) in May of 2002.

Prison Ministry PDF Print E-mail
Randy Davenport, Director

"You know, we've got a lot of folks on the inside of the wall in the prison system that have since turned to God. They're doing their best to serve the Lord inside... and they're often ignored.

But there's a way that we can all reach in and minister to them by befriending one or two... and writing them... and you know, just becoming a friend to them... minister to them.

It's amazing what can happen through a relationship like that."

Welcome Center PDF Print E-mail
FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVER LASTING!

Our goal is to make you feel loved and welcome as soon as you walk into the doors of our sanctuary.  After the Parking Lot Attendance and the Greeters, the Welcome Center functions as a place where you can ask questions about our church to individuals with a warm smile and a pleasant attitude of servant hood.  The Ministry Partners are equipped with a wealth of information to share with you.

There is always ministry opportunity for you to become a partner with the Welcome Ministry.  Our first requirement is that you attend our Foundational Membership Leadership class taught by Sister Carolyn McIntosh.  So if you have a smile, warm heart and a gift of making individuals feel welcome, please look up this ministry.  We won’t turn down a smile and are looking to give them away freely!

The Pastor over this ministry is Ray Mabion.  His assistant is Mr. Steven Barnett and Pastor Mabion's Ministry Partner Leader is Ms. Letha Marshall.  If you have the gift of hospitality, this is the ministry for you!  Please call Sheffield Family Life Center so we may extend our invitation into ministry to you by contacting Mr. Steven Barnett.

Greeters PDF Print E-mail
Greeters – Michael Craig
Some people have a natural gift to greet others and make them feel welcome.  This is the friendly approach of our Greeter’s ministry.  They like to keep a smile on their face and let the love of God shine through.  We want our congregants and visitors to feel welcome and at ease when they come to Sheffield.  That’s the goal of a greeter every time the church doors are open.
